Emily E. Hahn, DMD Periodontist
Born in Savannah, Georgia, Dr. Emily E. Hahn completed her Bachelor of Arts at Wellesley College. She obtained her D.M.D. degree and completed a residency in periodontics, dental implant surgery and IV conscious sedation at the Dental College of Georgia. In addition, she obtained a Master of Science in Oral Biology for her work on rhBMP-2 induced inflammatory response.
Based on her accomplishments, Dr. Hahn was awarded numerous research and academic awards: Emile T. Fischer Scholarship, Wrigley Salivary Research Award, Mark Ritz Research Scholar, Connie L. Drisko Resident Award and JAG 20 Emerging Alumni Leader Award. She has been published in a peer-reviewed journal and has co-authored a chapter edited by Dr. S. Froum, Dental Implant Complications: Etiology, Prevention, and Treatment.
She is board certified by the American Board of Periodontology and is an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology, American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Society, Academy of Osseointegration, and International Team for Implantology (ITI).
She currently maintains a private practice, Worcester Periodontics, in Worcester, MA. Dr. Hahn performs all aspects of comprehensive periodontics and dental implant surgery including oral medicine, periodontal plastic surgery, regeneration, and dental implant placement. She has received additional training in Wilckodontics® – Accelerated Osteogenic Orthodontics™ and laser dentistry. She is certified by the Institute for Advanced Laser Dentistry for proficiency in Dental Laser Surgery. Dr. Hahn follows the LANAP® and LAPIP® laser protocol.
In her spare time, Dr. Hahn enjoys hiking, cooking and traveling.
